Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are sending the tabloids a message: Stop lying about their relationship. They have started legal proceedings in London to sue the tabloid that started their most recent break up rumor. Just a couple of weeks ago, a British “newspaper” called the News of the World, reported an elaborate story of the break up of Brad and Angelina. Many news outlets picked up the story and ran with it.
News of the World had reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had separated and were dividing their assets and figuring out custody of their children. The story was either made up, or the paper was gullible to very bad information.
The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schillings said the story was “false and intrusive”. He told the Associated Press that “the tabloid had failed to meet a demand for a retraction and apology.”
Maybe if more of these celebrities were willing to take on the lies and false reports made against them by tabloids, it would send a message. But would it really do any good? Every month there is a new story that Angelina and Brad have split up, that has been going on since they first became a couple. The tabloids would not make those stories up if they didn’t know that millions of people would willingly buy their paper and buy into the story once again.

Good for them!
I think those tabloids are disgusting they should all go out of business.
Hopefully the lawsuit will do some good in sending a message to the tabloids. Good for Brad and Angelina and good for those of us who are tired of seeing it while standing in the checkout lane at the store.

At the risk of sounding uncreative-- Good for them!
This is smart on their part. Now they can use the money they'll win for a good cause.
Yes good for them they should, stop the fools for printing slander. I hope they win big. They will probably give the money to charity. Maybe more people will do this.
